LODI, CA (December 7, 2023) – A pedestrian died in an accident on South Beckman Road, Tuesday evening.
 
According to the Lodi Fire Department, the incident happened on December 5, at about 5:10 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle struck the victim in the area of 700 South Beckman Road.
 
Emergency crews performed CPR and other medical efforts, but the victim later died at the scene.
 
Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle stayed and cooperated with investigators. Officers ruled out DUI as a factor in the incident.
