FRESNO, CA (March 3, 2023) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car near Highway 99 and Golden State.
 
According to Fresno Police officers, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. For some reason, a woman allegedly walked in front of a moving car and was hit by the driver. The woman did not have any identification on her, and it was unclear if she was a transient.
 
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the crash and passed away at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver stayed for the investigation. Fresno police officers do not believe alcohol played a factor in the accident, but an ongoing investigation should confirm the fine details.
