Woman Dies after Struck by Car at Woodland Avenue and Omega Street

 
ESPARTO, CA (November 5, 2021) – Patricia Batres was killed in a pedestrian accident in Esparto on Friday morning last week.
 
The accident happened around 6:45 a.m. on October 29 at the intersection of Woodland Avenue and Omega Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 34-year-old victim was either walking or standing in the area when a vehicle struck her.
 
As a result, Batres suffered serious injuries. Responding paramedics performed life-saving efforts, but she died at the scene.
 
It is unknown if the involved driver has stayed after the crash.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
