Motorcycle Passenger Dies after Crash with Van on Whipple Road in Union City

 
UNION CITY, CA (August 16, 2023) – A passenger was killed in a motorcycle accident on Whipple Road in Union City Monday afternoon on August 14.
 
According to the Union City Police Department, the victim was riding on the back of the motorcycle when they collided with a van around 2:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of Whipple Road.
 
The motorcycle passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. They were not yet identified.
 
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the van remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
