Fiery Head-On Crash on Highway 138 in Los Angeles County Kills One and Badly Injures Two

 
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA (August 16, 2023) – A man died and Tawnia Eback was seriously injured in a fiery head-on crash on Highway 138 in Los Angeles County Monday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 10:40 a.m. on August 14, just east of Puzzle Canyon Road. According to the CHP, the man was driving a Nissan pickup truck westbound on the highway. At the same time, 54-year-old Aaron Hudanich was driving a 2017 Peterbilt eastbound with Eback as his passenger.
 
For unknown reasons, the Nissan collided head-on into the Peterbilt and caught fire.
 
As a result, the unidentified driver of the Nissan suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Hudanich and Eback, 50, sustained major injuries. Both were residents of Bremerton, Washington. Paramedics transported them to Arrowhead Memorial Regional Hospital.
 
Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected factors in the crash, which is still under investigation.
