Passenger Killed after Car Crashes Into Tree near Avenue 72 in Tulare
TULARE, CA (April 6, 2022) — A passenger died after a car crashed into a tree near Avenue 72 and Road 104 on Monday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly single-car crash happened around 6:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver lost control of the vehicle and drifted to the left. Subsequently, the vehicle left the roadway, slid through a chain-link fence and struck a large tree.
Because the impact struck the passenger side of the car, a 32-year-old man sitting on that side of the vehicle died at the scene.
Soon after, paramedics responded and treated the driver who suffered minor injuries.
At this time, officers do not suspect DUI to have played a role in this accident. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm more details.
