Motorcyclist Suffers Severe Injuries after Crash with Vehicle on Highway 101 in Sonoma County

 
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (May 23, 2023) – One person was severely injured in a motorcycle accident on Highway 101 in Sonoma County Thursday night on May 18.
 
The accident happened just after 6:30 p.m. at San Antonio Road. According to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was riding their motorcycle when they collided with a vehicle.
 
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s helicopter, Henry One, landed on San Antonio Road and gave aid to the motorcycle rider.
 
Petaluma Fire Department crews then took the rider to a local trauma center with severe injuries.
 
It is unknown if there are other injuries sustained in the crash. It is also unclear if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
