EUREKA, CA (May 23, 2023) — One person suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident at 4th Street and I Street.
 
According to Eureka Police, the pedestrian accident happened around 9:20 a.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of an unknown make and model struck a pedestrian at the intersection.
 
Minutes later, an ambulance responded with Code 3 with lights and sirens to tend to an injured person on the road. While paramedics tended to the victim, officers closed I Street between 4th and 5th streets to investigate what had happened.
