Deadly Rollover Accident on Highway 101 at Nojoqui Summit Involves Two Vehicles

 
NOJOQUI SUMMIT, CA (November 20, 2023) – One person died in a two-vehicle rollover accident on Highway 101 at the Nojoqui Summit Sunday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:20 p.m. on November 19. The Nojoqui Summit is located about halfway between Gaviota and Buellton. According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, two vehicles collided along the northbound lanes of the highway. One of the vehicles went 300 feet over the side of the road.
 
The driver of the overturned vehicle suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
No one was injured in the other vehicle.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
