Two-Vehicle Accident on River Road near Chualar Ends in Fatality

 
CHUALAR, CA (May 2, 2022) – One person died in a two-vehicle accident on River Road near Chualar on Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 11:15 a.m. on April 29 in the 600 block of River Road near Odanata Wines. According to Monterey County Regional Fire District- Chualar Station, a Volkswagen and a Dodge Ram 3500 collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found one person unconscious inside one of the vehicles. Paramedics render aid to that person, but the patient died at the scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is underway.
