PORT HUENEME, CA (July 10, 2022) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident near North Ventura Road and Bard Road in Port Hueneme on Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 4:22 p.m. on July 8. According to Ventura County Fire Department, two vehicles collided near the intersection for unknown reasons.
 
The impact caused one of them to hit a tree. The other vehicle had rolled over.
 
When officers arrived, they found one person suffering from fatal injuries. That person died at the scene.
 
A second patient sustained minor injuries.
 
The Port Hueneme Police Department is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
