Fatal Car Accident on Nicolet Street in Banning Involves Off-Road Vehicle

 
BANNING, CA (September 26, 2021) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Nicolet Street near 22nd Street in Banning late Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 5:18 p.m. on September 24. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, an off-road side by side vehicle collided with another vehicle for unknown reasons.
 
Officers arrived and confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending notification of next of kin.
 
It is unclear if speed, drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
 
At this time, CHP officials are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
