Two Vehicles Collide on Highway 99 in Sacramento County Killing One Person

 
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (March 24, 2024) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 99 in Sacramento County Saturday afternoon on March 23.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 3:30 p.m. at Florin Road. According to the Sacramento Metro Fire, a van and another vehicle collided along the northbound highway. The impact caused the van to flip on its side. The other vehicle was blocking the northbound traffic.
 
First responders found one person dead at the scene.
 
The name, age and city of residence of the victim were not immediately available.
 
It is unknown if anyone else was injured in the crash.
 
The circumstances of this fatality are still under investigation.
