Early Morning Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 99 in Tulare Turns Deadly
TULARE, CA (August 31, 2021) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 99 in Tulare early Sunday morning.
The accident happened around 2:07 a.m. on August 29, at the Avenue 200 on-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray GMC Yukon and another vehicle collided for unknown reasons.
When officers arrived on the scene, they located both vehicles in the center divider. A woman was trapped inside one of the vehicles.
Despite life-saving measures, at least one person died at the scene. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
It is still unclear what caused the crash. Further investigation is underway.
