Two-Vehicle Accident on East Tehachapi Boulevard, One Killed

 
TEHACHAPI, CA (October 5, 2022) – At least one person died in a car accident on East Tehachapi Boulevard on Monday afternoon, October 3.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:30 p.m. just west of Tehachapi Willow Springs Road. According to the Tehachapi Police Department, a gold Toyota Prius and a white Ford EcoSport SUV collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found both vehicles with major front-end damage.
 
At least one person suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Kern County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once family members are properly notified.
 
Crews blocked both directions of East Tehachapi Boulevard in the area while they cleared the wreckage.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
