Afternoon Two-Vehicle Accident on Byron Highway Ends in Fatality

 
BYRON, CA (June 27, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Byron Highway on Tuesday afternoon, June 21.
 
The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. at Lindeman Road. According to California Highway Patrol, a Lexus sedan collided with a white Honda Accord at the intersection.
 
Officers arrived and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The Alameda County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once family members are notified.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The CHP is still conducting their investigation.
