One Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on 22 Freeway near 5 Freeway [Orange, CA]

Pickup Truck and Sedan Collide on 22 Freeway in Orange Killing One Person

 
ORANGE, CA (July 31, 2023) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on 22 Freeway in Orange Sunday morning on July 30.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:20 a.m. near the northbound 5 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a pickup truck and a sedan collided on the freeway transition road.
 
When officers arrived, they confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The Orange County Coroner’s Office withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
CHP officials issued a SigAlert in the area, closing the transition road for an unknown duration.
 
No other information available at this time. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
