85-Year-Old Man Dead in Visalia Car Accident on Avenue 264

 
VISALIA, CA (November 16, 2022) – An 85-year-old man lost his life in a car accident on Avenue 264, Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 15, at about 3:00 p.m. A sedan reportedly stopped at a stop sign at the intersection before colliding with an oncoming pickup truck near Road 156.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the driver of the sedan dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, responders transported his passenger to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. As per reports, the driver of the pickup truck also sustained injuries but did not need hospitalization.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
