Fatal Traffic Accident on Comanche Drive in Bakersfield Involves Semi Truck

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 18, 2021) – At least one person died in an accident on Comanche Drive east of Bakersfield Saturday evening.
 
The accident happened just before 7:00 p.m. on October 16, at the intersection with Hermosa Road. According to California Highway Patrol, a vehicle collided with a semi truck and a pole for unknown reasons.
 
Emergency responders confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
It was unclear if anyone else was injured.
 
Southbound traffic on Comanche Drive was shut down at Muller Road after the crash. At this time, CHP officials are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
