FALLBROOK, CA (July 19, 2023) – At least one person was killed in a traffic accident on 15 Freeway in the Fallbrook area Monday evening on July 17.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:35 p.m. along the southbound freeway, just north of Highway 76. According to the North County Fire Protection District, the crash prompted traffic delays and shut down all southbound lanes of 15 Freeway.
 
Details of how the crash occurred were not immediately available, but at least one fatality was reported as a result.
