Semi Truck and Pickup Truck Collide on Highway 118 in Somis Killing One Person

 
SOMIS, CA (June 15, 2022) – One person was killed in a semi truck accident on Highway 118 in Somis on Tuesday, June 14.
 
The accident happened around 9:20 a.m. near Center School Road. According to the Ventura County Fire, the semi truck and a pickup truck collided for unknown reasons.
 
As a result of the crash, about 60 gallons of diesel fuel spilled. The spill went off the road and into a storm drain.
 
There were a total of six people involved in the crash.
 
One person suffered severe injuries and died at the scene.
 
A second person had moderate injuries and the four others had minor injuries.
 
No identification is being released at this time. The exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
