Late Evening Rollover Accident on Highway 132 in La Grange Kills 1 and Injures Another

 
LA GRANGE, CA (February 4, 2024) – One person was killed in a rollover accident on Highway 132 in La Grange late Friday evening on February 2.
 
The fatal accident happened just before midnight at La Grange Dam Road. According to the Modesto Fire Department, an iPhone in a vehicle alerted a 911 dispatcher that the owner was in a crash, but responding crews could not locate it. The dispatcher called the phone and was directed to voice mail.
 
About 10 minutes later, someone called 911 to report the crash. Responders then found that a vehicle had rolled over, ejecting two occupants.
 
When officers arrived, they pronounced one person dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
Paramedics transported the other victim to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
At this time, the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
