FONTANA, CA (July 28, 2021) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident at Sierra Avenue and Lytle Creek Road in Fontana Tuesday evening.
 
The accident happened around 9:19 p.m. on July 27. According to the California Highway Patrol, an unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian at the intersection.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered significant injuries and died at the scene. The coroner’s office will release the victim’s identity once next of kin is notified.
 
Initial reports did not indicate whether the driver remained or fled after the crash.
