Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Multiple Vehicles on Olive Drive in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 19, 2022) – One person died in a pedestrian accident on Olive Drive in northwest Bakersfield late Friday evening, September 16.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 11:00 p.m. near Agoura Hills Way. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the pedestrian was walking in the area when multiple vehicles struck them.
 
When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian lying in the roadway with major injuries.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian died at the scene.
 
The Kern County Coroner’s Office withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
