CLAREMONT, CA (August 12, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on North Mountain Avenue on August 8.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near West 11th Street around 12:14 AM.
 
Based on reports, officers found the pedestrian on the roadway. Prior to that, a vehicle reportedly struck the victim. However, the details that led to the incident were not immediately available.
 
As a result, emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s identity pending kin notification.
 
As of now, this pedestrian accident on North Mountain Avenue is still under investigation by the Upland Police Department. In addition, officials urge anyone with information to contact them.
