Sacramento Sheriff’s Deputy Hits and Kills Pedestrian Standing in Middle of Elk Grove Road

 
ELK GROVE, CA (October 30, 2021) – One person died in a pedestrian accident in the middle of an Elk Grove road Thursday night.
 
The accident happened on October 28. The exact time and location were not immediately known. Authorities said a Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputy hit the pedestrian who was standing in the middle of the road.
 
The deputy rendered first aid until paramedics arrived. The victim later succumbed to their injuries after spending a night at a hospital.
 
The California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash. The county coroner’s office will identify the victim, determine toxicology and notify next of kin.
