Pedestrian Dies after Hit by Sedan on Highway 94 in City Heights Area of San Diego

 
CITY HEIGHTS, CA (May 30, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 94 in the City Heights area of San Diego early Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:30 a.m. on May 30 just west of 15 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking along the eastbound side of the highway when a gray Volkswagen sedan struck them.
 
After the crash, the driver notified the CHP. When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian in the far-right lane with fatal injuries.
 
The victim, whose identity was not immediately available, died at the scene.
 
The CHP issued a SigAlert shutting down all lanes of the eastbound freeway near the crash site while the investigation continued.
