Fatal Pedestrian Accident Occurs on Highway 12 at Stony Point Road in Santa Rosa

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (March 7, 2022) – Police confirmed one person died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 12 on February 28.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Stony Point Road around 10:56 PM.
 
Based on a report, a 2012 Nissan Altima sedan was traveling south on the overcrossing at the time of the crash. At the same time, a man was walking across the overcrossing from the west side. Due to unknown reasons, it struck a pedestrian in the lanes.
 
As a result, Santa Rosa Police Department pronounced the man dead at the scene.
 
The Santa Rosa Police Department said the man was wearing dark clothes and was not in a crosswalk at that time. At this point, an investigation is ongoing. Also, officers ask anyone with information on the incident to call Accident Investigator, Officer Riley Howard at 707-543-3636.
