Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on First Street in Norco

 
NORCO, CA (March 7, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on First Street in Norco late on Friday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:09 p.m. on March 4 just east of Parkridge Avenue. According to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station, a passenger vehicle hit the pedestrian for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian lying in the roadway with critical injuries. Paramedics attempted life-saving aid, but the victim died at the scene.
 
Authorities withheld the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle was uninjured. They remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
Authorities asked witnesses to call Deputy Packer of the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station at 951-955-2600 or the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department at 951-776-1099.
