LANCASTER, CA (September 14, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on 14 Freeway in Lancaster early Tuesday morning, September 13.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:48 a.m. at Avenue J. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking northbound on the freeway when a big rig struck them.
 
The pedestrian, whose identity was not immediately available, died at the scene.
 
Crews closed the third lane of the northbound freeway for an unknown duration while they cleared the wreckage.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is underway.
