Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on 110 Freeway near University Park

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA (November 30, 2021) – One person died in a pedestrian accident on Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened a little after 4:30 a.m. on November 28 just south of the Santa Monica (10 Freeway near the University Park area. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was either walking or standing in the area when a vehicle struck them.
 
The impact caused the victim’s fatal injuries and they were pronounced dead at the scene.
 
A representative from the coroner’s office was called to the location at 5:01 a.m. They will release the victim’s identity once family members are properly notified.
 
The CHP issued a SigAlert, blocking the third lane of the freeway near Adams Boulevard while they investigated the fatality.
