TULARE COUNTY, CA (October 18, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a broadside crash on Highway 137 on October 15.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Road 68 shortly before 2:00 AM.
Based on an initial report, a Nissan Pathfinder was southbound on Road 68 at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, its driver failed to stop at the intersection. Then, the SUV broadsided an oncoming Chevy Silverado that was traveling east on the road. The CHP said the driver of the Nissan was not wearing a seatbelt.
