Multi-Vehicle Crash on Jamacha Road in Rancho San Diego Kills 1 and Injures 4

 
RANCHO SAN DIEGO, CA (July 11, 2023) – One person died in a multi-vehicle accident at Jamacha Road and Cuyama College Drive on Friday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:35 p.m. on July 7, near a shopping plaza. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Nissan sedan tried to make a left turn when a black Honda Civic sedan sped through a red light and crashed into it.
 
The Nissan then spun out and rear-ended a white Tesla.
 
As a result of the crash, the rear passenger of the Nissan suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities only described him as someone is his 80s.
 
The driver of the Nissan suffered unknown injuries. The Nissan’s front passenger suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment.
 
The driver of the Civic was also seriously injured while the driver of the Tesla only had minor injuries.

An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
