Early Morning Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa Leaves 1 Dead

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (April 5, 2022) – One person died in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa, early Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 1:59 a.m. on April 2 at the Yolanda Avenue off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, several vehicles collided in the area for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found an occupant in one of the vehicles suffering from fatal injuries. After that, the person died at the scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Crews closed the highway near the crash site until around 3:52 a.m. while they cleared the wreckage.
 
CHP officials are still trying to determine whether drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
