Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accident at Emerald Drive and Jonathon Place [Vista, CA]

Morning Multi-Vehicle Accident on Emerald Drive in Vista Ends in Fatality

 
VISTA, CA (June 3, 2021) – At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident at Emerald Drive and Jonathon Place Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened shortly after 8:30 a.m. on June 3, just north of Highway 78. CHP officials said a motorcycle and several other vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
 
Emergency crews responded at confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident. It is unclear how many other people were injured in the crash.
 
Both directions of Emerald Drive were shut down near Jonathon Place while officials worked on the scene.
 
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
