Early Morning Multi-Vehicle Crash on 15 Freeway in San Diego Leaves 1 Person Dead

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 22, 2023) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on 15 Freeway in San Diego early Saturday morning on August 19.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:30 a.m. along the southbound freeway, just north of Mira Mesa Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, several vehicles including a Scion and a Toyota RAV4 collided for unknown reasons.
 
CHP officials confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident. It was not immediately known if the victim died at the scene or at a hospital.
 
No other information available at this time. The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
