Motorcyclist Dies after Crash along Highway 79 in San Diego County

 
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA (April 18, 2022) – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 79 in San Diego County on Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened around 10:51 a.m. on April 16 near Lake Cuyamaca at the Chambers Park campground parking lot. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved two motorcycles.
 
When officers arrived, they confirmed that one of the riders died at the scene.
 
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once family members are notified.
 
At this time, it is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol were contributing factors. The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
