Vehicle Hits Motorcycle on Highway 63 in Tulare County Killing the Rider

 
TULARE COUNTY, CA (September 8, 2022) – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 63 near the Orosi area of Tulare County on Monday afternoon, September 5.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:45 p.m. near Ira Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 69-year-old man was driving a car when he made an unsafe turn from the west curb edge, across both southbound lanes directly into the path of a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle.
 
A 59-year-old man and his 49-year-old passenger were on the motorcycle. Both were thrown onto the roadway after the crash.
 
Paramedics rushed the pair to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where the rider died while in transit. The passenger arrived at the hospital with major injuries.
 
The driver of the car had minor injures.
 
This fatality is still under investigation.
