Big Rig and Sedan Collide Head-On on Vasco Road in Contra Costa County Killing One Person

 
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (February 28, 2023) – One person was killed in a head-on accident on Vasco Road in Contra Costa County early Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:20 a.m. on February 27, just south of Camino Diablo. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford Fusion had crossed into oncoming traffic on Vasco Road and collided head-on into a tractor trailer.
 
As a result, the driver of the sedan suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. They were not yet identified.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the big rig was unharmed.
