One Killed in Head-On Accident at Tyler Street and California Avenue [Riverside, CA]

Early Morning Head-On Accident on Tyler Street in Riverside Kills One Driver and Seriously Injures Another

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (July 13, 2021) – One driver was killed in a head-on accident at Tyler Street and California Avenue early Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 1:13 a.m. on July 12. According to the Riverside Police Department, a 2004 Lexus driven by a 28-year-old was traveling north on Tyler Street when it lost control. It then crossed the center median and slammed head on into a 2011 Nissan Sentra.
 
The driver of the Sentra, a 52-year-old Anaheim resident, died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Lexus was rushed to a hospital with major injuries.
 
It is unclear if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. Further investigation is underway.
