WILLOW SPRINGS, CA (September 13, 2021) – At least one person died in a head-on accident on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road Friday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 3:15 p.m. on September 10, just north of Backus Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Honda Odyssey and Hyundai Sonata collided head-on for unknown reasons.
 
The impact of the crash left at least one person with fatal injuries. That patient died at the scene.
 
It is unclear at this time if there are other people hurt in the crash.
 
Coroner’s officials withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
