Fiery Two-Vehicle Accident on Lambert Road in South Whittier Area Leaves 1 Dead

 
SOUTH WHITTIER, CA (November 29, 2021) – One person died in a fiery two-vehicle accident at Lambert Road and Colima Road in the South Whittier area on Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. on November 26. According to the Whittier Police Department, a Honda and another vehicle collided for unknown reasons. The Honda ended up pinned against the wall of flower shop, causing the car and a portion of the structure to be engulfed in flames.
 
First responders found one person inside the Honda with fatal injuries. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, police said another person attempted to flee the scene but is now in custody.
 
It is unclear what caused the crash or if either of the drivers were impaired. An investigation is still ongoing.
