Two Vehicles Collide and Catch Fire on 10 Freeway in Bloomington, One Killed

 
BLOOMINGTON, CA (October 5, 2022) – One motorist died in a fiery two-vehicle accident on 10 Freeway in Bloomington early Sunday morning, October 2.
 
The accident happened around 2:06 a.m., after a 2016 Kia Optima stopped in the center median of the freeway for unknown reasons. Moments later, a Fontana man allowed his 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe to veer left into the center median, colliding into the Kia. Both vehicles then burst into flames.
 
As a result of the collision, the driver of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene. They were not yet identified.
 
The driver of the Chevrolet had minor injuries.
 
Alcohol or drugs was not a factor. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
