Fiery Crash on Lower Sacramento Road in San Joaquin County Leaves One Dead

 
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (August 27, 2023) – One person died in a fiery accident at Lower Sacramento Road and East Acampo Road in San Joaquin County early Friday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:33 a.m. on August 25. According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, a black SUV collided head on with a silver SUV for unknown reasons. The impact caused both cars to catch fire.
 
First responders pronounced one person dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
