Fiery Crash Involving Four Speeding Vehicles on 10 Freeway in South LA Leaves One Dead

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (March 9, 2023) – One person was killed in a fiery accident on 10 Freeway in South Los Angeles early Wednesday morning on March 8.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:02 a.m. at Crenshaw Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, four vehicles collided along the westbound freeway and knocked down a utility pole. One of the vehicles then burst into flames.
 
First responders found one person in the burning vehicle. That person was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Witnesses told the CHP the vehicles were traveling at high speeds prior to the crash.
 
Crews closed all westbound freeway lanes while an investigation was conducted. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
