E-Bike Rider Dies after Struck by Tesla on Peralta Boulevard in Fremont

 
FREMONT, CA (April 27, 2023) – One person was killed in an electric bicycle accident on Peralta Boulevard in Fremont Tuesday evening on April 25.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:50 p.m. at Camden Street in the city’s Centerville District. According to the Fremont Police Department, a Tesla struck the e-bike rider in unclear circumstances.
 
As a result, the e-bike rider suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
 
The Tesla driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
