Passenger Dies after Car Crashes along Highway 50 in West Sacramento

 
WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (November 21, 2023) – One person was killed in a car accident on Highway 50 in West Sacramento Monday just after midnight on November 20.
 
The fatal accident happened along the westbound highway, just west of Jefferson Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Nissan went into the center divider and crashed into support beams for the Sycamore Trail pedestrian overcrossing.
 
As a result of the crash, a passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver only sustained minor injuries.
