One Fatally Injured after Car Crash on Highway 1 near Del Monte Boulevard

 
MONTEREY, CA (November 15, 2021) — One person suffered fatal injuries in a car accident on Highway 1 on Sunday, November 14.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened off Highway 1 on the Del Monte Boulevard onramp at around 1:00 p.m.
 
Crews responded to the scene and pronounced one person dead.
 
There are no reports yet on how the incident transpired and if intoxication played a role in the crash.
 
Officials temporarily closed the onramp while clearing the scene.
