Lorena Negrete Dies in Two-Car Crash on 215 Freeway near Box Springs Road
RIVERSIDE, CA (November 15, 2021) — Lorena Negrete died in a two-car accident on the 215 Freeway near Box Springs Road.
According to reports, the fatal two-car crash happened around 7:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a Toyota Sienna switched into the No. 1 lane in front of an Isuzu box truck. As a result, the right front of the box truck collided with the left rear of the Sienna, causing the minivan to spin out and broadside a collapsible guardrail.
As a result of the crash, 34-year-old Negrete died in the collision at 7:21 a.m. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the six others in the Toyota, including one child with serious head trauma, to a hospital.
At this time, the California Highway Patrol will look at all angles of this crash to determine the liabilities and other circumstances. However, they have ruled out intoxication as a possible explanation.
