NATIONAL CITY, CA (February 15, 2021) – One person died Monday after a car accident on Plaza Boulevard in National City.
 
The fatal car accident happened around 1:30 p.m. near the on-ramp to northbound 805 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle had crashed for unknown reasons. First responders rushed all occupants to a hospital.
 
Sadly, one of the passengers did not survive and was pronounced dead while undergoing treatment.
 
The driver of the vehicle and several other passengers were treated with unspecified injuries.
 
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
 
Officers closed a stretch of East Plaza Boulevard near the on-ramp while they documented the crash scene.
